In order to prepare respective Form 1099 remember to ask for a signed copy of Form W-9 that includes the name, address and tax ID number which is a social security number or a federal identification number. Those forms W-9 are generally good for 3 years, so check your files.

The due date for submitting the forms to the IRS is 31 January 2022 with a copy going to your contractors too. And reach out if you need help!
